After attending the University of Rhode Island College of Pharmacy, he received his dental degree from New York University College of Dentistry in New York City. Dr. Saltz has been in family dental practice at this office since 1984. He maintains active membership and leadership roles in several dental and civic organizations. He is past president of the Maine Dental Association and is past President of the Greater Portland Dental Society. He is on the Attending Staff at the Maine Medical Center, and he is currently on the Maine Board of Northeast Delta Dental. Dr. Saltz is also on the Board of Managers for New England Dental Administrators (NEDA), LLC. His achievements have been listed in several highly regarded publications, and he has received several honors and awards. Dr. Saltz has achieved Fellowship status in the Academy of General Dentistry and the International Congress of Oral Implantology. He has fellowship in three of the most prestigious international dental organizations - The American College of Dentists, The International College of Dentistry and the Pierre Fauchard Academy. These organizations exemplify excellence through outstanding leadership and exceptional contributions to dentistry and society. Dr. Saltz is a past Admissions Committee member at the New York University College of Dentistry. He is also the former team dentist for the USBL Portland Mountain Cats. He is a Pankey Alumni Member as well as a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and participates in several other dental organizations and study clubs. He has been featured in the Maine Sunday Telegram, Profile Magazine, Journal Tribune Weekend, and by Channel 13 News for his fun and unique practice. He was voted Best Local Dentist in 1999 and runner-up in 2000 by the Maine Sunday Telegram Readers Poll. Dr. Saltz enjoys coaching Soccer, Basketball and Little League in Scarborough and has done so since 1998. He, his wife Lori, and sons Adam and Mason reside in Scarborough.
